This policy informs you, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which personal data we process in the Napfradar app, for what purpose, and what rights you have.
The party responsible for data processing under the GDPR is:
Melanie Donner
Allee 16
3435 Erpersdorf, Austria
Email: support@napfradar.app
Napfradar is a nutrition diary for dogs and cats. We only process data required to operate the app:
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email address, user ID | Create account, sign in, associate data with your account | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) |
| Pet profiles, meal and symptom diary, allergies/observations/preferences, weight/BCS, elimination diets, saved products | Core app functionality (nutrition tracking and analysis) | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) |
| Uploaded photos (optional, attached to symptoms) | Documenting symptoms, veterinary report | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) |
| Purchase and subscription status (Napfradar Pro) | Unlocking paid features | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) |
| Crash and diagnostic data (without personal identifiers) | Stability, error analysis, improving the app | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) |
No advertising, no tracking: Napfradar embeds no third-party advertising or analytics trackers and builds no user profiles for advertising purposes. No location data is collected.
Note on pet health: Information about your pet’s condition relates to the animal, not to you, and is not health data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR.
We do not share data with third parties for their own purposes. To operate the app we use carefully selected service providers that process data solely on our behalf and under our instructions (processing under Art. 28 GDPR):
| Provider | Function |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Hosting, database, authentication and file storage (server location: EU – Ireland) |
| RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) | Managing subscriptions and purchase status |
| Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., USA) | Crash and error monitoring (without personal user content) |
| Google Play / Apple App Store | Payment processing for paid purchases |
Payments are processed by the respective app store. Payment details (e.g. credit card) are handled exclusively by the store; we do not receive them.
Some providers (including RevenueCat and Sentry) are based in the USA. Transfers take place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or – where certified – the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with appropriate safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR.
We store your account and usage data for as long as your account exists. When your account is deleted, the associated data is removed immediately and irreversibly. Statutory retention obligations (e.g. purchase records held by the store) remain unaffected. For details on deletion, see Delete account & data.
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
To exercise these rights, an email to support@napfradar.app is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Austria, the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).
Transmission between the app and our servers is fully encrypted (TLS/HTTPS). Access to your data is restricted to your account via access rules; uploaded photos are stored in private storage and can only be retrieved through time-limited, signed links.
We update this privacy policy when the app or the legal situation changes. The current version is always available at this address.
